Tasting notes:

Completing a hat-trick of Gold, Master and Grand Master for Krispel is this stunning wine from basalt-volcanic soils, an example from the older vintage of 2021. Medium yellow-gold in hue, the wine has yellow peach and ripe melon with an overlay of butter and cinnamon crumble. Medium-bodied with a bit of development, the palate shows lovely integration of fruit and oak framed by brisk acidity. Savoury on the finish, this is a wine well-suited to grilled whitebait with a squeeze of lemon and house-made aioli.  (Patricia Stefanowicz MW)
