Including 15% of red wine from the Champagne region, this lovely Rosé is a feast for the eyes as well as the mouth. Medium vieux-rose in hue with small bubbles, the wine shows its 3 years of lees ageing with a gentle yeasty undertone beneath the fresh strawberry and dried cranberry fruit. Brut style (8g/l r.s.), the palate is mid-weight with crisp acidity and mouth-filling mousse. Good depth of flavour with chalky minerality and a hint of astringency from the tannins of the red wine. Really interesting, the wine is a great partner for sashimi or sushi. [Patricia Stefanowicz MW]
