Tasting notes:
Founded in the 17th century by \\\'ancestor-forefather\\\' Andrea in Refrontolo, Bottega is today best known for its distinctively packaged Prosecco Gold from Glera grapes grown in Valdobbiadene--wildly successful in travel retail and elsewhere. Very pale silver lime-leaf green with continuous streams of bubbles, the wine shows white peach and mirabelle plum fruit with undertones of pastry and fresh bread. Brut-style (6g/l r.s.), the light-bodied palate has lively acidity and silky mousse texture with intense flavour definition and long finish. An excellent wine for radicchio Treviso Tardive-ricotta ravioli. [Patricia Stefanowicz MW]
