As one might expect from a Pinot Noir from England, this wine is light and fresh, with a firm acid finish, but also has a lovely core of intense soft red berry fruit, even a touch of sweet strawberry juice, complemented by notes of redcurrant, green apple, and white pepper – then a subtle note of toast from barrel-ageing.
