Tasting notes:
Using Pinot Noir grapes from Les Riceys in the southern part of Champagne blended with Chardonnay from the northern realms, Champagne Albelé produce this lovely Rosé. Medium salmon-pink in hue with small bubbles and a defined cordon, the wine shows bright red cherry fruit accented with smoky aultolytic notes. Brut-style (7 g/l r.s.), the palate has lovely red berry fruit framed by bracing acidity and a crackling mousse texture. A hint of tannic grip adds structure making this a gastronomic delight, perfect with poached salmon and cucumber and fennel garnish. [Patricia Stefanowicz MW]
