Tasting notes:

Verdelho grapes are found in the northern part of Madeira, around PortoMoniz, Santana and São Vincente, and in the south around Calheta andFunchal. Medium-deep tawny with green and bronze highlights, the wineshows typical estufa baked character with baking spices, pastry and milkchocolate accenting dried cherries, dates and nuts. Medium-dry, themidweight palate flavours are supported by racy acidity and a touch of linentexturedtannin. Concentrated, complex and lingering, this will be a match forseared duck breasts with a Sevilla orange sauce.(Patricia Stefanowicz MW)
