Tasting notes:
A beautifully-balanced expression of quite juicy Marlborough Pinot from a low-yielding site, with notes of sweet red berries, ripe tomato and subtle vanilla-chocolate characters, followed by an orange-fresh finish and a hint of green tomato stalk. A lingering, lively and layered Pinot, with a fairly light mouthfeel and a dry, finely tannic finish. Eva Pemper is a relatively new name in New Zealand and, judging by this wine, one to watch.(Patrick Schmitt MW)
