Established in the late 19th century, Mionetto is well-recognised as a leader in Prosecco. For its iconic Prestige Collection, Mionetto refreshed the shape of the bottle, making it slightly thinner and taller to give a more modern character, reflective of a contemporary, ‘spontaneous’ style of wine. And so is the wine itself. Pale peach-pink in colour with persistent bubbles and a narrow cordon, the aromatics are peach, cherry and yellow roses with plenty of yeasty autolysis adding complexity. Brut-style (15.84g/l residual sugar) the flavours are supported by racy acidity and a velvet mousse. This is a serious wine with a long finish, well-suited to rainbow trout with clarified butter and toasted almonds.(Patricia Stefanowicz MW).
