Tasting notes:

The deep garnet colour points to a wine with some age, and this wine is trulyin its prime – just starting to show some of the complexity of aromas andflavours it clearly possesses, while full of rich, ripe fruit. The nose is deep,intense and very complex, with dark chocolate, mocha, cassis, plum andblackberry, hints of cinnamon, vanilla and smoke, and a touch of hazelnut andclove. In the mouth, it is long and beautifully poised. The alcohol is high but integrated,and the finish is opulent and yet elegant. (Siobhan Turner MW)
