Kelsey Grammer to pull pints in New Jersey bar
The actor Kelsey Grammer, known for playing Dr. Frasier Crane in the sitcoms Cheers and Frasier, is serving beer in New Jersey this week.
According to local reports, Grammer will attend Mantoloking Road Alehouse (MRA) in Brick from 2.30pm-4pm on Thursday 21 September.
Mark Zarrilli, who co-owns MRA with his brothers Rich and Anthony revealed that the star will be “pouring his own brand of Faith American beer for patrons” and debuting his newest beer, a Double IPA named Calico Moonlight, which will be on tap at the venue.
This will be the second time Grammer has visited MRA in Brick after initially appearing at the site last September and pouring beers among fans and regulars.
Speaking about his newest beer, Grammer said: “Calico Moonlight continues our salute to the strength and courage of the Calico Men. Men on the brink, freedom-minded men, who swore allegiance to a just cause as they rode into this singular, distinct page of American History.”
Over the past two years, MRA has been offering Grammer’s three other Faith American brews – Faith American Ale, Calico Man IPA and its bestselling beer Faith American Blue Hazy IPA – each of which have secured many loyal fans of the brewery.
Zarrilli explained that the beers have “become a staple at our place with a large local following” and added: “Kelsey Grammer is an American treasure. Here at the MRA, we appreciate his time and dedication to his brewery. We look forward to assisting Kelsey to grow his brand and introduce our customers to his outstanding Ale and craft beers.”
Faith American Brewing Co. was founded by Grammer in 2015 and is located in Delaware County, near the Catskill Mountains, in Margaretville – a village on the northern edge of the Catskill Park – and is named after his five-year-old daughter Faith Evangeline Elisa. The brewery is located inside a barn on a dairy farm that the actor used to visit for Thanksgiving as a child.
It was recently revealed that Grammer and British sitcom Only Fools and Horses actor Nicholas Lyndhurst are due to share pints together in a first look at the new Frasier series. The show, which has been filmed in front of a live studio audience at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles, will begin airing on Paramount+ from 12 October.
