Unlocking the Secrets of Bourgogne Wines

Discovering Accessible Bourgogne Wines

Join writer and wine educator Michelle Cherutti-Kowal MW, who will be presenting special
masterclasses to #UnlocktheSecrets of great quality Bourgogne appellations.

Celebrated around the world for its wines, Bourgogne is the birthplace of two of the most iconic and renowned grape varieties: Pinot Noir & Chardonnay. It is in Bourgogne that they both develop their purest expression.

While Bourgogne is renowned for some of its exceptional treasures (such as Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet, Gevrey-Chambertin, Romanée Conti), it is also home to a host of other appellations (in fact there are 100 appellations in the region). These AOCs offer the nuances and complexity that make Bourgogne’s wines so distinctive, but do you know all its secrets? This range of diversity might surprise some, considering the region’s use of only two grape varieties.

Michelle will present a selection of Bourgogne wines, and show how they are must-haves for your customers. The session is a must for anyone interested to #UnlocktheSecrets of Bourgogne wines.

The Bourgogne wines masterclasses, in association with The Drinks Business, are an initiative from the BIVB (the trade board for Bourgogne Wines).
