LCB sponsors The Spirits Business Awards after-party
London City Bond (LCB) is sponsoring the after-party for The Spirits Business Awards 2025, hosted at The Underglobe Theatre on 13 November.

For the first time, LCB has partnered with The Spirits Business Awards to sponsor the Young Achiever of the Year award and the after-party for the on-trade event. The award ceremony will take place on 13 November at The Underglobe Theatre in the heart of London, bringing together some of the brightest talents in the spirits industry, including brands, bartenders, PR companies, and producers. This year, the event will be hosted by comedian Rob Beckett.
David Hogg, sales director at LCB, comments on the sponsorship: “As part of our involvement at The Spirits Business Awards, we will be sponsoring the category of Young Achiever of the Year. As a company, we are always eager to encourage young people to learn and grow their skill set within the industry.”
After the ceremony, guests will be invited to the dance floor for a night of celebration. At the bar, the after-party’s sponsor will serve a specially crafted LCB cocktail made with Bushmills Irish whiskey. As the sponsor of the after-party for The Spirits Business Awards 2025, LCB aims to raise awareness about its significant role within the UK spirits industry.
Spirits at the LCB
Established in 1870, LCB has evolved from being London’s oldest bonded warehouse to becoming the UK’s leading tax warehousing company. While it is well-known for handling wines, LCB also manages inventory for several spirits companies across the UK. The company not only handles the inventory for Campari UK’s brands – such as Wray & Nephew’s rum, Appleton rums, Campari, and Aperol – but also works with Mangrove Global and Cask Liquid Marketing, among many others.
At its Burton Global warehouse, LCB manages the UK requirements for Proximo Spirits, which offers popular brands like Kraken Rum, Jose Cuervo Tequila, and Bushmills whiskey.

At the Glasgow (Hillington) warehouse, the company caters to various Scotch whisky producers, overseeing both their UK needs and export activities. Within the Hillington facility, LCB operates a specialised unit that stores rare and valuable whiskies for private collectors – a service that has seen a ‘notable increase’ in demand over recent years, according to Hogg. Access to this unit is strictly regulated, and additional security measures are in place to ensure the safekeeping of these valuable items.
Hogg explains how LCB has witnessed changes in the industry and how the company caters to clients. “We have seen many start-up spirits companies – many with their eye firmly on the gin market – and have been pleased to help them get established and grow their business, ” says Hogg. “We are also seeing an increasing number of brands from outside of the UK approaching us to help them find their foothold in the UK, and likewise, we are happy to guide them in a positive way and provide support wherever we can.
“The recent abolition of UK duty stamps, along with WOWGR and Duty Representative requirements, has helped numerous smaller companies take a leap of faith into the world of spirits.”
To support its growth ambitions, LCB is actively seeking new partnerships. On October 6, the company welcomed Stan Moyser as its new business development manager to expand its expertise. Moyser joins LCB from a senior position at Laws Distribution in the North West, where he gained valuable experience in the warehousing and logistics sector. His extensive background is said to contribute significantly to LCB’s continued expansion.
