The drinks business can confirm that we have received a record number of entries in this year’s Green Awards, with drinks companies battling it out to be crowned the most sustainable player in their field.
From vineyard and distillery innovations to trailblazing packaging, our annual Green Awards honour the drinks companies keeping the planet at the heart of their operations – and proving that sustainability doesn’t have to mean boring. Yes, green endeavours can often involve more than their fair share of paperwork and administration, but when firms go above and beyond to mastermind exciting new products and wide-reaching initiatives it lights the path for a bright future; one we can all be part of.
In September, we asked drinks producers and companies to enter the Green Awards 2025, and outlined some of the categories in which they could shine. Hundreds of you answered the call and our panels of expert judges are now in the process of weighing up these submissions.
Previous Green Awards winners include a South London brewer who pioneered the first fully carbon-neutral beer, and a South African wine producer which offers its farmers a 34.5% stake in the business. A best-selling range of flat, recycled PET wine bottles also made the cut, as did a wine estate that drone-drops predatory insects onto vines to combat leafroll disease spread by mealybugs.

This year’s winners will be announced at a ceremony taking place on Tuesday 2 December at Home House on London’s Portman Square. Kicking off with a drinks and canapés reception at 2.30pm, trophies will be presented from 3.30pm, followed by photographs and celebratory toasts. Will you be one of our 2025 winners?
