Kopparberg is selling its strawberry and lime pink gin as a canned mixed drink

Swedish cider brand Kopparberg is delving deeper still into more lucrative alcohol markets with the launch of a RTD mixed drink based on its new pink gin.

Rob Salvesen, Kopparberg’s head of marketing, said the brand “wanted to continue the momentum and excitement surrounding the launch of Kopparberg Premium Gin” by launching RTD cans ahead of the summer season.

The 250ml cans are currently available in ASDA, priced at £1.95 each or £6 for a pack of four. The mixed drink has an ABV of 5%, while a statement from Kopparberg added that the cans contain “only 125 calories per serve.”

“The perfect serve of Kopparberg Premium Gin & Lemonade was designed to enhance the natural flavours of the gin and offer a taste profile sweet enough for a long, hot summer. It’s the perfect drink to enjoy with friends and we’re very excited to offer Kopparberg fans another addition to the Kopparberg family.”

It is not the first RTD Kopparberg has rolled out this year, having already launched launching “alcohol-infused sparkling water” brand Balans in the UK’s retail sector in January to capitalise on the growth of low-sugar drinks.

The drinks brand entered the spirits category for the first time earlier in May with the launch of a Strawberry and Lime Pink Gin, taking inspiration from Kopparberg’s best-selling cider flavour.
