HK’s Angliss Wine to host first portfolio tasting

One of Hong Kong’s oldest F&B suppliers will host its first ever wine portfolio tasting this week which features over 100 wines from 25 producers exclusive to the Hong Kong market.

Taking place on Friday, 10 June in Hong Kong’s new speakeasy, I Know John in The Loop, Central, Angliss’ trade tasting will run between 3-6pm.

With a spotlight on independent and family owned producers, brands of note include: Champagne Paul Goerg from Vertus, The Independent Prosecco by Marco Fantinel, Famiglia Pasqua from Veneto and Deepwoods from Margaret River.

Angliss started out as one of Hong Kong’s premium food importers in 1946 and has now grown with multiple offices throughout Southeast Asia.

Last month was the inauguration of its beverage division, headed up by Floris de Winter, who was previously associate director of sales at Goedhuis Fine Wine Merchants in Hong Kong and sales manager at Links Concept.

He said: “We are absolutely delighted to launch the Angliss Wine division in this sophisticated market and we firmly believe we have positioned ourselves to unlock great value in the food and beverage programs of our partners.”
