Young’s rolls out click and collect pints ahead of summer sporting calendar

The pub group has launched a click and collect drinks service at 34 sites, allowing customers to order and pay for drinks in advance and collect them directly from the bar.

Young’s Pubs has launched a new click and collect service through its On Tap app, enabling guests to order and pay for drinks in advance before collecting them from the bar.

Available at 34 locations across the Young’s estate, the service allows customers to place orders without needing a table number. Guests receive a text notification when their drink is ready to collect.

According to Young’s, the service is a first for the pub industry and has been designed to cater for both seated customers and vertical drinkers. Orders can be placed through the Young’s On Tap app or via QR codes displayed within participating pubs.

Focus on busy sporting events

The launch comes ahead of a packed summer sporting schedule, including the World Cup, Wimbledon and the Summer Internationals.

Young’s said the service has been introduced to help guests spend less time queueing at the bar and more time watching live sport with friends, while also helping pub teams manage demand during peak trading periods.

Commenting on the launch, Young’s Pubs said: “We’re anticipating a very busy summer across the Young’s estate and are delighted to be launching our click and collect service across select pubs to help reduce queues, improve service and enhance our guest experience during these busy periods. The new service is a first as it allows our guests to order without needing a set table, meaning they can make the most of the atmosphere with fellow fans, whilst our own teams can manage demand more effectively behind the bar.”

Available at 34 sites

The click and collect service is now available at 34 Young’s pubs, including the Adam & Eve in Fitzrovia, Bath Brew House in Bath, Founder’s Arms in Southwark, Oyster Shed near London Bridge and the Double Locks and Old Firehouse in Exeter.

Other participating venues include the Duke’s Head and Coat & Badge in Putney, the Queen Adelaide and King’s Arms in Wandsworth, the Phoenix in Victoria, the Wheatsheaf in Borough and the Wood House in Dulwich.

A full list of participating pubs is available via the Young’s On Tap app and Young’s website.
