Brother’s Bond Bourbon appoints Maverick Drinks as UK distributor

The US bourbon brand has launched in the UK through Maverick Drinks, betting on growing British demand for premium American whiskey.

The partnership marks the next phase of the brand’s international expansion, with Brother’s Bond targeting growth across Europe, the UAE and Asia. Maverick Drinks will take responsibility for nationwide on- and off-trade distribution in the UK, with a particular focus on e-commerce.

Founded by actors Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley, Brother’s Bond Bourbon has built its range around a four-grain bourbon mashbill and a small-batch production model. The founders have played an active role in liquid development, with Somerhalder involved in blending and barrel selection, while Wesley oversees brand and creative direction.

The UK launch portfolio comprises four expressions: Bottled in Bond 7 Year Old Straight Bourbon, Regenerative Grain Straight Bourbon, Straight Bourbon and American Blended Rye Whiskey. The range is available immediately via Master of Malt and Master of Malt Trade.

Juan-Marc Correia, director at Atom Group, which owns Maverick Drinks, said growing UK interest in American whiskey had created an opportunity for premium bourbon brands that balance accessibility with craftsmanship. He highlighted Brother’s Bond’s Bottled in Bond 7 Year Old, which has received a Double Gold and 98-point score at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, as well as the brand’s focus on regenerative agriculture.

Vincent Hanna, CEO of Brother’s Bond Bourbon, said the UK was a “key market” due to its established whisky culture and increasing appetite for American styles. He added that Maverick Drinks’ focus on education and long-term brand building aligned with Brother’s Bond’s strategy for the market.

RRP for the range sits between £50.95 and £61.50.
