Advini stays committed to GTR, sustainability and new horizons

The vertical tasting, which took place last week at the TFWA World Exhibition & Conference in Cannes, showcased Château Patache, Aux Médoc Cru Bourgeois Supérieur and was accompanied by the launch of a limited-edition pack dedicated to the Chinese Lunar New Year of the Horse for 2026.

Evolution

Speaking at the event, Jean-Pierre Durand, president of Advini’s Bordeaux wine houses, described “the evolution of this historic Médoc estate” and revealed how the wines represented the craftsmanship and heritage of its Burgundy wine houses, Laroche and Maison Champy.

Liv-ex recently noted how it had witnessed some “encouraging moves” that hinted at the fine wine market showing a lot more resilience of late. For instance, the market analyst of Liv-ex’s market intelligence department, Sophia Gilmour, had predicted that such indications had been noted that “as prices rise, everyone tries to get in on the market, no matter the price at that stage, bids outweigh offers to secure wine”.

Looking ahead to 2026, however, Advini had noted how it was undeterred and excited about the future. Durand pointed out that the company will introduce visitors to the centenary of L’Oratoire des Papes, one of its most successful international and travel retail wine brands. Added to this, Advini also drew attention to the fact that it had announced a partnership with Duty Free Global earlier this year to “broaden its distribution in areas where it is currently only available domestically”. The team also revealed how Advini is “looking to expand further into the cruise retail segment, most recently through a new partnership with Tallink Duty Free”.

Green agenda

In addition, Durand asserted how Advini will also highlight the sustainability leadership of Vignobles Jeanjean and Domaine Cazes, recognised for their pioneering work in organic, agroecological and biodynamic viticulture.

The wine world has been urged to amplify its sustainability credentials, a move emphasised by communicators from across the sector, as well as can be seen from the influx of interest in the db Green Awards this year.

Added to this, it was also assured that Advini will also “expand horizons” with its South African estates such as Ken Forrester, L’Avenir, and Kleine Zalze, which means wines from each will see “expanded distribution” across markets.
