Pernod Ricard has completed the scheduled sale of its international wine portfolio to the owner of Accolade Wines, now renamed Vinarchy. Although the transaction value remains undisclosed, the proceeds will contribute to Pernod Ricard’s FY25 results before the financial year closes on 30 June.

Vinarchy emerges as a global wine player

The sale, first announced in July 2024, closed today (30 April 2025) and transfers a wide range of wine brands from Pernod Ricard to Australian Wine Holdco Limited (AWL), a consortium behind Accolade Wines. The brands include Jacob’s Creek, Orlando and St Hugo in Australia, Brancott Estate, Stoneleigh and Church Road in New Zealand and Campo Viejo, Ysios, Tarsus and Azpilicueta from Spain.

Vinarchy will manage a portfolio exceeding 10 million 9-litre case equivalents annually, supported by seven wineries and vineyard-to-bottle integration across three continents.

Transition and focus on spirits

Pernod Ricard will continue the distribution of the portfolio for a few months to ensure a smooth handover. The disposal aligns with its long-term premiumisation strategy.

The company said the move will help “focus on premium international spirits and Champagne brands, driving future growth of its business.”

Minimal financial impact expected

The proceeds, though included in this year’s financials, had been largely anticipated by the market and are expected to have little impact.
