Familia Torres beefs up investment in dealcoholised wine
Familia Torres will invest nearly €6 million in a new dealcoholised wine warehouse in Penedès over the next two years, as it sees growth in its non-alcoholic wine brand.
The investment will see around €3m spent on new non-alcoholic wine cellar at its facilities in Pacs del Penedès, which produces its Natureo range of dealcoholised wines.
Natureo was one of the earliest low-alcohol brands on the market, making Torres a pioneer of the sector and although the Natureo brand was launched as a 0.5% abv wine, but was subsequently completely dealcoholised in 2016 in order to broaden its appeal further.

The company will also benefit from ongoing investment in climate change adaptation and mitigation measures, which including the installation of irrigation on its farms in Catalonia, tree planting in Chile and the installation of photovoltaic panels. It will also invest in technology to migrate Familia Torres’ SAP software to the cloud, it said.
The move followed the growth of the Natureo brand which is expected to see growth of in value of 20% this year/
The company closed out 2024 with year-on-year growth of 7% overall in its wine and brandy brand compared to 2023, with double-digit growth in its Chilean wines. Growth was particularly strong in Canada, Denmark, Switzerland, the US, China, Lithuania and Cuba, it said. It notes its brands Celeste, Torres 10 and its Chilean wines as “stand out” performers in 2024. Its Spanish-made wines and spirits saw 6% growth in exports by volume while the domestic market grew 10%, on the back of a strong food channel and customers in the restaurant industry, boosted by a strong tourist season.
