Flint Wines eyes up growth as it appoints new finance director
Flint Wines has appointed a new finance director, as it embarks on a five-year growth plan.
Harry Roskilly, who has been the finance director at Maison Marques et Domaines since September 2022, will join Flint Wines as its new finance director in August. A chartered accountant, he trained at Ernst and Young as part of its audit team, before joining its International Tax & Transactions department and working for a European real estate fund manager. During this time, he developed a passion for wine, completing the WSET Diploma, which he passed with merit, subsequently joining MMD.
It is the first new appointment since Katy Keating joined the independently owned company as managing director in December from Lay & Wheeler. Flint said that he will bring a wealth of experience, in both financial services and the wine industry, as well as fresh perspective, and would play a vital role in Flint Wines’ ambition to build an all-star team and embark on an era of exciting growth. His expertise will be key in bringing a number new project to fruition, it added.
Keating said that the team was key to Flint’s ambition and Roskilly’s experience complemented that of the company’s founders (Jason Haynes, Sam Clarke, and Gearoid Devaney MS), and was “a sign of our people-led approach”.
“Having the best in the industry in one room, building Flint together.”
Roskilly added that he was delighted to be joining a dynamic team with “founders as visionary as they are hands on” and looked forward to contributing to the next chapter of growth.
