While the spirit is sourced from the highlands of Jalisco, the sponsorship will see it hop just over the border into the great state of Texas, where it will be served at the Globe Life Field baseball stadium in Arlington.

Chad Wynn, vice president of business partnerships for the Texas Rangers, said: “The Texas Rangers could not be happier to have Teremana join our lineup as the team’s Official Premium Tequila — a brand focused on delivering delicious flavour and even better energy. With this partnership, fans will soon taste an exclusive array of thoughtfully crafted cocktails available throughout Globe Life Field, including the centre field Teremana Terrace, which will offer fans a fun and unique game day experience that unites both our brands.”

The multi-year partnership is an extension of Teremana’s work with entertainment centre Texas Live. As part of the collaboration with the baseball team, Teremana will also be the presenting partner for the Rangers Viva Tejas event series, which celebrates Hispanic culture in Texas.

“The Rangers are a team that shares our values,” suggested Teremana CEO Richard Black, “which is why the partnership is such an important one for us. They put in the work and are all about sharing mana with fans and their wider community by bringing good energy and bringing people together.”

This is not Teremana’s first sports partnership – last year it was named a sponsor of the XFL American football league (now called the UFL after a merger), which Johnson is a part owner of.

In the summer, German spirits company Mast-Jägermeister revealed its rollout plans to “internationalise” Teremana Tequila, beginning with the US and UK.
