Berry Bros & Rudd launches fine wine podcast

Drinking Well is a six-part series designed to help listeners enjoy and shape their wine collection. The podcast, a first for the wine and spirits merchant, is hosted by wine writer Hannah Crosbie.

Buyers and account managers join Crosbie as they discuss which vintages to withdraw from the cellar this year. The podcast also explores developments in key fine wine regions, as well as revealing the team’s favourite wines and producers.

Episode one is focused on Bordeaux, the most collected region in the world. Italy, Rhône, Champagne, the USA and Burgundy also feature in future episodes.

Bordeaux Buyer, Max Lalondrelle is Drinking Well’s first guest. He explains what led him to a career in fine wine and reveals his predictions for the next big things to come from the region.

Hannah Crabtree, chief customer officer for Berry Bros. & Rudd, said that growing interest in fine wine collecting led to the podcast’s development. She said: “The launch of our first podcast came about as we wanted to inspire listeners with the unrivalled knowledge of our in-house experts, so they can share our passion for collecting fine wine.”

“Drinking Well will help listeners to discover more about the fine wine regions they already love and those that they are yet to encounter; we’re sure it will become a favourite way to pass the time for those who love fine wine as much as we do.”

At the end of last year, strong online sales have helped Berry Bros. & Rudd achieve a sparkling Christmas with online sales now double what they were in 2019. To find out more about Christmas sales, click here.
