What’s on this weekend

William Borrell, the man behind north London’s Ladies and Gentleman bar, is hosting emergency cocktail masterclasses every Friday during lockdown. Whatever ingredient you’re missing, Borrell shows you how to improvise and whip something up with the stuff in your kitchen.

Last week, it was something involving gin and Ambrosia custard (other custards are available). This Friday (15 May), Borrell is taking on the classic Bloody Mary.

According to Ladies and Gentleman’s Instagram feed, this is the cocktail you can add “pretty much everything to so feel free to suggest some more ingredients for when we hang out at 4 pm on Friday.”

And if you are determined to do nothing at all, Molson Coors has your back.

Coors Light has created a platform that allows you to record a 30-second loop of yourself looking interested and engaged for your next video call.

Visit the beer brand’s website to record a video of yourself nodding, smiling politely, and interjecting with vague noises of approval, then make it your background so you can sneak off to lie down in a dark room. Bliss.
