Last chance to register for The Wine & Spirits Show

This year’s Wine & Spirits Show is taking place tomorrow and Saturday in London, featuring a free trade session, current The Apprentice star Jackie Fast and her £139 icewine, and a series of masterclasses on topics including how glass shape affects the taste of English sparkling wine.

Join the drinks business and The Spirits Business teams for a two-day drinks extravaganza taking place from 1pm to 9pm on Friday, and from 1pm to 8pm on Saturday.

The event is open to both the trade and consumers, with a free trade session taking place on Friday from 1pm to 5pm. For those who have not yet registered, please enter your details here. For general tickets, please click here.

Due to be held in the heart of London at One Whitehall Place, part of the five-star Royal Horseguards hotel, the show is due to attract over 2,000 members of the general public, alongside members wine and spirits trade.

The show will have two separate spaces: one dedicated to wine and the other to spirits.

Inside these halls will be the Global Masters Zone and the Spirits Masters Zone, showcasing medal-winning wines and spirits from the competitions held by the drinks business and The Spirits Business throughout the year.

Both halls will feature a dedicated New Products Zone for both wines and spirits, which will showcase the hottest wines and spirits launched within the last 12 months, keeping guests up to speed on emerging trends and releases.

A Global Beer Tour Zone will also offer guests the chance to sample a wide range of brews to have been judged by our expert panel as part of the Global Beer Masters, which took place in August.

Current BBC The Apprentice star, Jackie Fast, will be presenting her £139 Canadian icewine at the show.

As well as hundreds on wines and spirits available to sample, the event will also offer a series of expert masterclasses, on both wines and spirits, giving guests the chance to get under the skin of Champagne with Pol Roger or delve deeper into the world of fine wine with online auction site iDealwine.

Winners of The Drinks Business and Sparflex’s English sparkling wine packaging award, Digby Fine English, will also be holding a masterclass exploring how glass shape affects the taste of English sparkling wine, featuring its recently launched hand-blown glass designed with Gurasu London.

The newly-formed Consorzio Tutela Vini DOC delle Venezie, will also be taking a masterclass showcasing the Italian region’s Pinot Grigio, which has been elevated the grape from IGP to DOC status.

Other topics due to be explored include ‘The relationship between brands and bars’, ‘beer flavours and their sources’, ‘gin worldwide’ and ‘Champagne and more – fine fizz from around the world’.
