William Grant makes changes to marketing teams

Independent distiller William Grant & Sons has made two changes to its UK and EMEA teams following a change to its global commercial structure.

Caspar McRae (pictured) is to take on the role of marketing director for UK & Ireland from Gary Keogh who has been promoted to regional marketing director of the EMEA region.

William Grant explained that the changes are the result of a shake-up to the global commercial structure into three regions: the newly created EMEA, the Americas and Asia, which will take effect from 1 January 2018.

McRae was previously global brand director for Irish and American whiskies at William Grant, while Keogh joined the UK business as marketing director in 2013 after four years as global marketing manager for Glenfiddich.

Neil Barker, managing director UK & Ireland commented: “Gary has been monumental for the UK business and I admire the passion he has for William Grant & Sons’ ‘dram by dram’ approach to building brands for the long-term. He will be a fantastic asset to the new EMEA region.

“Caspar brings with him a wealth of international knowledge and experience of working with our brands and business. I know he will settle in quickly as we begin our 2018 journey and I look forward to working with him as we enter a new phase of growth.”
