Herti launches new website
Closures company Herti has launched a new “easy to use” website in advance of the launch of a new closures system for sparkling wines.
The website is described as having “easy navigation” and “useful, friendly functionality”.
The new site has been launched just before two large wine technology shows, ‘Intervitis-Interfructa’ in Stuttgart and ‘Vinitech’ in Bordeaux.
At these shows Herti is going to unveil its new ‘Vinstar Smart’ closure, with a PVC-free granulate lining, which is designed for use with still and lightly sparkling ‘perlwein’.
The 30x60mm closure is the result of team work between Herti, Actega and Pro-cap and has been through a two-year testing period at the Geisenheim Institute.
A release from Herti stated: “Vinstar Smart is fully compatible with current wine bottles and capping equipment. It combines the simple standard wine aluminum closure with a PVC/ PVDC free granulate gasket that ensures higher protection for the wine and fully corresponds to the 21st century environmental requirements.”
