Thatchers releases apple cider gin

British cider maker Thatchers has released its first ever gin made with apple cider, tapping into an ever growing trend for craft gins and flavour variants.

Crafted with cider from Thatchers’ Katy apples, the gin is distilled by the award winning English Spirit Distillery, using a selection of botanicals, as well as fresh apple, to give it a distinct flavour.

“By using cider from our own Katy apples, this fantastic gin is very much at home in our family”, said Martin Thatcher. “With people looking for individuality and character in their gin just as they do in their cider, this new offer once again demonstrates the brilliance and versatility of apples.”

Described as “citrusy and refreshing, with floral and apple notes”, Thatchers Orchard Cut is made iwth botanicals including including juniper, local Axbridge lavender from Lavender & Co, coriander, macadamia nut, buttercup, Seville orange, lemon and lime.

Orchard Cut is currently available at Thatchers Cider shop at Myrtle Farm, with an RRP of £33.99
