Jean-Claude Mas to auction one-off cuvée

Winemaker Jean-Claude Mas is launching a special limited edition cuvée of his top red wine in a collaboration with Crystal manufacturer, Daum.

The Languedoc based winemaker, who owns twelve estates in the Herault, is releasing 30 bottles of Domaines Paul Mas AAA Astélia 2015, a one-off cuvée which will be auctioned for charity ‘en primeur’ in ten different countries.

After the auction, Mas will select the top red cuvée from his twelve Domaines Paul Mas estates to bottle in the distinctive crystal magnums created by Daum and personalized and signed by artist Christophe Heyman. These will be sent to the successful bidders in February 2017, in a personalized case.

The cuvee is a one-off addition to Mas’s Astélia brand, which he named after his three daughters. The range comprises a Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon and a Chardonnay, as well as a high-end Crémant de Limoux, a blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Chenin Blanc which was launched into the UK in 2015.
