Château Palmer to host Picasso exhibition
Bordeaux third growth Château Palmer is to put on an exhibition at its estate in Margaux featuring a collection of black-and-white photographs of Pablo Picasso.
Picasso, Regards Croisés (Picasso, Fresh Perspectives), will run from 10 September to 20 December, and will include photos of the Spanish painter taken by André Villers and Edward Quinn, whom Picasso allowed into his studio.
Villers, who died in April, spent almost a decade with the artist, capturing him both at work in his studio and relaxing outside of it. Many of his photographs can be found at the Picasso museums in Paris and Barcelona.
Quinn meanwhile, snapped the artist while living on the French Riviera in the 1950s and ’60s, documenting both Picasso’s public and private life.
