The Bureau Interprofessionnel des Vins de Bourgogne (BIVB) has listed the various tastings taking place across the UK on the new website dedicated to the week-long series.

It described the website, which can be seen here, as “more responsive” as it is designed for users to access information when out and about at Wines Week events.

It includes details of where and when the tastings are happening, as well as listing the Burgundy producers that will feature at the events.

“The feedback we had from the UK trade last year when we launched the site was really positive,” said Claude Chevalier, co-president of the Bourgogne Wine Board.

“This year we wanted to show our continued support for Bourgogne Wines Week and our trade partners in the UK by maintaining our investment in this handy tool. Vintage 2014 is an important vintage for Bourgogne producers and negociants.”

The BIVB has hailed the 2014 vintage as “excellent”,  with 1.58 million hectolitres harvested to produce “nicely balanced wines with intense colours”.

However, the trade body confirmed the high volumes produced in 2014 have not been able to fully make up for the low stocks the region has been suffering from lately.
