UK trade to welcome Chianti Classico
Chianti Classico producers will be in London next week showcasing a selection of their Chianti Classico Annata, Riserva and Gran Selezione wines.
The 45 Chianti Classico producers will be arriving in London on Tuesday, 24 November at OXO2 on the South Bank.
All producers, of which 11 are seeking UK representation, have been positioned by the Commune in which they are produced, so guests can taste wines from each sub-region comparatively.
The tasting booklet it is now available to view at www.huntandcoady.com and guests can register their attendance online on the same website. Guests may also register at reception on the day.
Master Sommelier Ronan Sayburn MS has recently returned from visiting the region and will be hosting two masterclasses focussing on Chianti Classico Gran Selezione wines.
The first masterclass will be at 1.30pm, titled “Chianti Classico Gran Selezione: Highlighting Terroirs”, and the next, at 3.30pm, is called “Sangiovese and its Partners in Chianti Classico.”
