Lanson courts travel retail

Champagne Lanson is seeking to enhance its travel retail business with the launch of a new gift box with symbols from the house’s 250-year history.

Housing the Lanson Black Label Brut Non Vintage, the black lacquered box with gold finish features emblems such as the Lanson Cross and old seals used by the brand alongside travel motifs, while its French nationality is celebrated with the Tricolor flag.

The gift pack, which is available throughout September at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, is accompanied by a 15% off promotion for travellers passing through this hub for Lanson Black Label 75cl, Rosé Label 75cl, twin packs of Black Label and Rosé Label 2x75cl, and twin packs of Black Label 2x75cl.

Olivier De La Giraudière, export director for Champagne Lanson described this initiative as a sign of the house’s commitment to cultivating the travel retail sales channel.

“We pride ourselves on giving our travel retail customers unique and outstanding products that cannot be bought in the domestic market,” he commented.

“By incorporating elements of Champagne Lanson’s history onto the gift-pack, along with travel related symbols, we have created a very relevant item for the category; one that we hope that travellers will want to enjoy with their friends and family.”
