Firefighter puts out 18-wheeler with beer

An off-duty firefighter put out a smoking 18-wheeler truck using only it’s cargo of beer.

According to the Houston Chronicle, Capt. Craig Moreau was on a trip back from Austin in Texas when he came across the flaming truck which had smoke pouring from its brakes.

The firefighter asked the driver what was on board to which he responded, “It’s beer! It’s all beer!”

The pair quickly began spraying the cans of Coor Banquet and extinguished the tyre, but could not prevent it from later exploding.

Moreau told the Houston Chronicle that he had no doubt that if the beer had not been there the whole trailer would have burned up.

Praising the sacrifice of perfectly good beer, fire chief Terry Garrison said in a statement: “I support the extinguishment of fire, no matter what the cost.”

Good job to you Capt. Craig Moreau. He had this brilliant idea in putting out the fire. Well they had no choice but to utilize what is readily available.
