Grand Hotel de Bordeaux offers harvest tours

Grand Hotel de Bordeaux is to offer packages to its guests that will let them see behind the scenes of châteaux at harvest time.

Using its connections with various estates, the hotel has said it can provide guests with, “a rare level of access to the world of fine wine, unsurpassed in the luxury sector.

“The hotel can devise bespoke itineraries for guests who are interested in discovering the secrets of great wines and exploring the winemaking process, allowing them to experience the behind-the-scenes of the harvest including the hand picking of the grapes.”

Estates to visit are available in all of the main Left Bank areas and Sauternes.

Aside from the harvest visits, the hotel has also devised three “wine journeys” that are available all year round, the “Classic Car Wine Journey”, “Jefferson Wine Journey” and “Ernest Hemingway Wine Journey”, each taking in different châteaux.
