Matthew Clark chases global beer growth

Matthew Clark has launched a range of boutique beers from around the world, available to its UK-wide on-trade customer base.

The new portfolio includes a collection of lighter beers, "flavour favourites" and a connoisseurs’ collection. Matthew Clark is supporting this launch with premium point of sale material, from table talkers to back bar display units and branded glassware.

Pointing to the growing interest in good quality beers from around the world, Matthew Clark’s product controller for beer, cider and soft drinks, Kathryn Sheppard, explained: "The range has been specifically designed to enable outlets to establish a stand alone category on a permanent basis or as a trial featuring different beers every month.

"It is a great way of bringing new consumers into the world beer category, by highlighting new and exciting beers."

The new range includes relatively well known brands such as Chimay, Kirin and Leffe, as well as more exotic selections in the form of Peru’s Cusqueña and New York’s Brooklyn amber lager.
