Tasting notes:

Deep purple colour foreshadows the youthful intensity of this wine.  The nose has a gorgeous mix of vanilla, dark chocolate, and intense black cherry and berry fruit.  The palate shows new French oak, evident but well-integrated, overlayering the dark cherry and raspberry fruit, with hints of vanilla cream and cedar.  There is huge depth and intensity to this wine, and despite its high alcohol it has a freshness and balance that entices.  Ripe and luscious, with a long finish, and a very deserving winner of our Grand Master.
