Tasting notes:
The wine has a powerful mousse and is a mid old gold colour. The nose is pungent and packed with “winter spice” aromas: clove, cinnamon and mace. The palate is sweet but with high acidity providing balance. Surprisingly the overall texture on the palate is light and fresh. There is a lovely apple crumble impression on the finish. As Josh said, definitely a “speed bump” wine that makes you sit up and take notice. (Jonathan Pedley MW)
