With over four decades of winemaking experience, Giesen are well-placed to expand into the non-alcoholic arena. And this is only the most recent example of their superb range. This wine, mid-gold in hue, shows white orchard fruits and a hint of citrus with a delicate smoky, toasty oak overlay. Nearly dry (9.6g/l r.s.), the palate is mid-weight and sappy with racy acidity and a creamy texture nicely integrated with the fruit and wood. Good length and rather serious, the wine would pair well with the \'French classic\' duck breasts à l\'orange. [Patricia Stefanowicz MW].
