From the steep, blue slate soils of the Wehlener Sonnenuhr vineyard comes this very delicate Riesling. Its purity is evident from the straw-yellow hue to the apricot, tangerine and honey flavours overlaid with orange and lemon blossoms. Medium-sweet (41.5g/l r.s.), the palate is mid-weight, concentrated, textured and elegant with brisk acidity in support. Complex and with a sappy finish, the wine is an excellent match for Dover sole meunière. [Patricia Stefanowicz MW]
