A brilliant example of how good – and keenly-priced – South African Chardonnay has become, this wine is bursting with the grape’s positive traits, especially when complemented by barrel ageing. That means a delicious combination of peach and juicy lemon fruit with a touch of zesty grapefruit too, plus an overlay of cream, caramel, then toast, and a touch of matchstick.
