Tasting notes:
This Vintage Port comes from Agua Alta and Bom Dia 40-year old south-facing vineyards. Almost opaque purple-ruby in colour, the wine has intense black fruits with roasted coffee, chocolate and toast accents. Sweet (65g/l r.s.), the well-defined palate is framed by brisk acidity and abundant silky-textured tannins. Full-bodied, layered and dense, the wine has a lingering savoury finish. Delectable, the wine would suit creamy dark chocolate mousse. [Patricia Stefanowicz MW]
