Tasting notes:

This Port comes from a unique vineyard in Quinta da Agua Alta near the Douro River. Deep ruby-purple in hue, the wine has dark cherries and Christmas fruitcake with dark chocolate and tobacco overtones and a slightly herbal lift. Sweet (95g/l r.s.) and rich, the full-bodied palate is warming but nicely balanced with good concentration, crisp acidity and corduroy tannin texture. Very high quality and exceptional value-for-money, this would be a great wine to pair with a selection of blue and cheddar cheeses. [Patricia Stefanowicz MW]
