Tasting notes:

Marsala wines derive from Perpetuum, a traditional wine from around the city of Palermo. This semisecco example shows the depth and character of this remarkable style. Deep tawny-coloured with green and brown highlights, the wine displays blood orange, dried apricots, some sultana and caramel, and accents of vanilla from wood ageing. The palate is medium-sweet, with fair acidity and extra structure from a little linen textured tannin giving balance. Lemon-lime zest accents add interest. Midweight and warming on the long finish, this will be a good pairing for classic crème brûlée. (Patricia Stefanowicz MW)
