The Rioja has a nose that shows some evolution, offering intriguing notes of animal, mushroom, and a hint of savory cedarwood alongside sweet balsamic and black tea. The palate is rich and layered, showcasing a fleshy texture with grippy, grainy tannins that impart a firm structure. Flavours of ripe black cherry, blackberry, and blackcurrant are complemented by vanilla and a touch of spice, while hints of dried fruit, such as prunes and raisins, add complexity.
