Tasting notes:

The arid Rutherglen region provides the perfect environment for this style of wine because its long, dry season allows high sugar levels and raisining to occur without botrytis rot. A classic example of the style, the wine is medium tawny in hue with hazel hints, and displays dried apricots and peaches overlaid with oak, meat nuances, crushed roses and undergrowth. Luscious and full-bodied, the palate flavours are balanced by crisp acidity and dense tannins. The alcohol is beautifully integrated and the wine is layered and complex.
