Tasting notes:
This fantastic expression of Sangiovese, a result of painstaking vineyard management on Montalcino’s prized southern slopes, is brimming with personality. Enticing cherry and chocolate aromatics are followed by wonderful flavours of stewed red berry fruit, then prune, tangerine, cedar wood and a hint of cocoa powder. In line with the grape variety and location, there’s warmth and freshness, as well as plenty of tannins, meaning the wine finishes with a mouthwatering combination of sweet cherry, citrus zest and, finally, a chewy, dry sensation.
