Founded as a vineyard and country retreat in 1980, Andrew Peace Wines produced its first vintage in 1995 and has subsequently become a leading exporter of Australian wines. This example of the classic Australian blend is a gem. Quite deep ruby-coloured, the wine shows black cherry and dark plum fruit with tobacco notes. Mid-weight, the palate flavours are supported by lively acidity and linen-textured tannins. Sappysavoury on the finish. A generous wine that will match deviled lamb kidneys. (Patricia Stefanowicz MW)
