Tasting notes:
Towering over the village of Spitz 1000-Eimerberg is a cool, high altitude site with gneiss and marble soils accentuating the coolness of the site. It is considered a great site for Riesling. This wine, mid-yellow in hue, shows ripe apricots overlaid with forest honey and orange marmalade. Medium-dry in style, the wine is concentrated and textured with very crisp acidity giving \'bite\'. This wine is a \'happy place\' and perfect for fresh goat\'s cheese: Crottin from the Haute-Savoie or Picodon from the Drôme, or, closer to home, a light, creamy goat\'s cheese from England.
