From the famed Heilgenstein vineyard with its weathered sandstone and volcanic conglomerates, this is an exquisite wine from Weixelbaum, whose motto is \'In Vino Weix\'. Pale lemon-yellow in colour, this example is a lovely expression of pure Riesling, exhibiting white fruits and Mirabelle plums, accented by acacia honey and orange and yellow blossom. Off-dry and light-bodied, the palate has excellent concentration and definition. Lingering and pristine, the wine will work nicely with prawn and crabmeat quiche. [Patricia Stefanowicz MW]
